Shari gives leadership, direction and casts vision for Room for One More. She focuses on the core functions of the organization to achieve its long-term vision and goals. Areas of responsibility include: strategy, board management, fundraising and program evaluation.
Kay KiddGrant Advisor
Kay is responsible for reviewing every grant application submitted. She reviews and prays about each one and then with the assistance of her team, they determine the recipients of Room for One More adoption grant assistance. Kay and her husband Adam have 6 children including the two youngest adopted from China and Ethiopia.
Scott McDougalTreasurer
Scott has the pleasure of writing the grant checks that help bring children home to their forever families. He also pays the organizations bills but with decidedly less pleasure. He and his wife, Amanda, have four children including two who were adopted from Taiwan.
Shelly NallCo-Founder and Vice President
Shelly and her family have moved from the Cape Girardeau area but are instrumental in raising awareness in their new location. Shelly helps with statistics and vision and encouragement for Room for One More, Shelly and her husband Chris have 7 children including one child from China and 2 domestic adoptions.
Andrea DodgeSecretary
Andrea uses her gifts in communications. She writes all of the sponsor, donor and volunteer thank you letters from RUN for ONE as well as all other necessary correspondence. Andrea is always available to encourage and inform anyone interested in adoption. Andrea and her husband Larry have 4 children, the youngest is adopted from China.
Becca UnderwoodConnections Coordinator
My role is to connect local foster and adoptive families to each other. I also support families by connecting them to resources and events related to foster care and adoption.
Shelly GerardRace Director
Shelly is responsible for leading our biggest annual fundraiser RUN for ONE. The run is a tool that local families can use to invite all their friends and family to run for their adoption team and raise funds to help bring their child home. Shelly and her team organize and carry out all the details of the run including the race route, signage, sponsors for the race, volunteers and race participants. Bringing families together and children home. , One Step, One Mile, One Child at a time.
Turya NationsGraphic Design
Turya designs the logos for race shirts and all promotional items including t-shirts, bags and jewelry designed specifically for Room for One More. Turya and her husband Braxton live in Nashville, Tennessee.
Dawn CarusoFoster Care Advisor
Dawn founder of the Hope Children’s Home an emergency foster care home that provides a safe haven for children who have been removed from their families in crisis situations and also a place to keep siblings together. Dawn keeps us updated of the policies with foster care in Missouri and we all work together for the best option for each child.
